Distance to liquidation19.6%5×

Assuming a 0.50% maintenance margin, a move of about 19.6% against a 5× position brings it close to liquidation. This is a simplified isolated-margin estimate; your exchange account shows the actual liquidation price.

Funding rate data
Built-in reference rates are in use, so the exchanges are not compared
Assumptions
The low end counts opening and closing fees only; the high end adds funding projected from the current rate at three settlements a day. Your account's fees may differ

Three things it works out

  1. Like-for-like fees

Binance and OKX are calculated with the same amount, leverage and holding period; when their rates are from different times, they are not ranked.

  2. Room before liquidation

How far price can move against you under a stated maintenance margin, without passing it off as the exchange's liquidation price.

  3. Figures you can check

Sources, update times and assumptions are labelled, so you can redo the calculation yourself.

Complete step three

Binance vs OKX futures cost

An exchange is marked lower only when both rates are current and the estimates differ. This is not a recommendation; check the exchange's own figures before you open an account or trade.

Questions before trading

Understand the cost before choosing where to trade

What does the futures trading cost include?

Opening and closing fees plus funding projected from the current rate. Slippage, taxes, VIP tiers and limited-time discounts are not included, so the real cost can be higher or lower.

Why check whether an exchange serves my region?

The region option shows a reminder only; it does not change the estimate or mean an exchange will serve you. Exchange entities, products and promotions vary by region, so the exchange's terms and your signed-in account are what count.

Is the Binance vs OKX comparison neutral?

An exchange is marked lower only when both rates are current. Partnerships and referral clicks do not affect the results or their order.
